Has there ever been something you have committed to doing every single day for an entire year?

What is stopping you? Imagine the doors of opportunity that could open after 366 commitments in a row. It is all asymmetrical upside: nothing to lose and everything to gain.

One of my great friends, fellow writer, and podcaster is Colin Walters. We both are WSU alumni (GO COUGS!) and connected over creating art to impact other people (shoutout to Henry Cheney for the introduction). I love what he is building and the life that he is creating. His challenge for 2024 was to post every day for the rest of the year on LinkedIn and I am up for it! This has me FIRED UP! Especially with it being a leap year and him having an extra day.

I know Colin has a lot of daily deposits. Ranging from investing in his relationships, his new job, and his dedication to training. The list could go on and on. I had to share this one, his commitment to sharing something on LinkedIn every day for the rest of the year.

That is a big-time challenge. That is a big-time Daily Deposit.

There is no accountability other than his own. It is a challenge created by himself for himself. To continue to create art, share with others what he is diving into, and gain more reps on reps on reps. The accountability is consistent intentional action and the mirror test. Looking at yourself in the mirror and knowing you followed through with your commitment.
