People Know You Better Than You. (005)

Clarity, People Knowing You Better Than You, & One Thing Per Week.

These are two of the most incredible feelings that are at the top of my mind right now.

1. When someone else puts to words the feelings you have. They put words to that thing that you just can’t describe.

2. When you get clear on what you want, what you are trying to say, and then take action on the things you truly want to want.

Billy Oppenheimer, writer of an incredible newsletter and Twitter content, along with the research assistant for Ryan Holiday, shared something interesting about this idea that people know you better than you.

“We revere a man of genius because to speak the truth, they are more you than you.” Quote by Emerson that Billy shared during the Danny Miranda Podcast.

They articulated into words something that you felt. Billy said it is important to sit with that moment and ask why. Why am I drawn to this work? What is the reason? What is it inside of you?

David Perell recently posted this short essay on X that summarizes my mission, commitment, and purpose behind the Daily Deposit. He put into words the feelings I have about this new project. It hit me and I just instantly started to smile. Walking around with a pep in my step and energized to share this one with you.

It hits so deep because that is what I am trying to do right here. On the path to change my life by sharing my curiosities with the world with the hope of impacting others.

That last line just hits… One per week. Do it for a year, and do it wholeheartedly. Magical things will help.

One per week or in this situation more like one per week will create magic and opportunities. Those opportunities will multiply as they are seized just like your daily deposits.

Keep stacking those daily deposits and making every day the best day of the year until tomorrow…
